Vincent Kompany believes former Manchester City teammate Frank Lampard is the ideal man to take the managerial position at Chelsea.

After Lampard announced his retirement as a football player, he has
taken to football management, where he recently oversaw a stellar maiden
campaign with Championship sidfe Derby Couty, which culminated in a Championship
play-off Final appearance.
The Rams ultimately lost out to Aston Villa at Wembley but Lampard gained plenty of plaudits for his development of young talent and Chelsea now look set to appoint their record-goalscorer, a move heavily supported by former teammate Vincent Kompany.

Speaking at the presentation of his new player-manager role at Anderlecht, he said: “Sign him up. He’s the man. I learnt so much from him.
“He was a bit older when he joined Man City. Frank was an incredible professional, he stepped the level up for everyone else, and I’m trying to have the same impact as an older player.
“The match is natural with Chelsea. I completely support him.”
