Chelsea's Willian declines China mega move

Willian is still the target of millions of dollars in the football market.

And according to Brazilian website UOL, the attacking midfielder declined more than $150 million in a three-year contract offer from Shanghai Greenland Shenhua of the Chinese Super League.

UOL claim they had access to the details of the proposal that the team would have to pay 20 million euros (more than $86 million) to Chelsea for the immediate release of the Brazilian shortly after the Copa America.

In addition, they also claim the Chinese club offered 12 million euros (more than $ 52 million per year) of salary, which could still increase according to goals.

Another claim is that the agreement will see other benefits, such as renting a flat paid for by the club, as well as two cars with drivers and a fee to be spent on plane tickets.

Willian was not interested and declined and instead, has committed to continue in Europe.

Willian still has another year of contract at Chelsea and has spoken with Chelsea about a potential renewal.

Two bids from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid to sign Willian were also cancelled this week by Chelsea.
