Forgotten Chelsea player could feature against Tottenham
Chelsea fans are looking forward to
their side’s clash with Tottenham. Following the international break,
the Blues are set to take on their London rivals in a game that could
have massive repercussions in the context of the season.
A loss could see Chelsea slide further outside of the top four,
whilst a win could give them a real foothold to return to the leading
pack. Getting a good result, then, is massive for Antonio Conte.

Ahead of the game, the Blues have gotten some news that most in the pub weren’t expecting. According to the Evening Standard, 'forgotten' Chelsea defender David Luiz is set to return to contention for the game after spending the majority of the season out with an injury.
This is particularly good news for the club in light of the news that Andreas Christensen has been sent home from international duty with fatigue.
As such, as the Evening Standard report, you’d expect that Luiz could be the natural replacement for the Dane if he doesn’t recover in time.
This is crucial for Chelsea, as they aren’t exactly blessed with defensive depth. Though you’d expect him to recover, having Luiz – who is rated at £25.2 million by Transfer Markt – in reserve will make preparations far easier for Antonio Conte.
