The Young Lions of England’s defence of the Toulon tournament may have come to an end last night, but Reece James did something which even Chelsea can’t ignore.

Reece James vs. Portugal U20

James was one of the best players in the Championship last season while out on-loan at Wigan Athletic, proving that he was ready to be part of the Chelsea first-team squad.

He was entrusted to start at right-centre-back for England U20s against Portugal U20s on Tuesday night, a game which the Three Lions eventually lost 3-2.
