Gary Cahill set for move to TOP Premier League club

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is hopeful of securing a move to Arsenal in the coming days.

That’s according to reports in Italian site NewsMondo. The outlet claim Chelsea have ‘almost closed’ a deal to loan Cahill to Arsenal and only ‘last-minute upheavals’ stand in the way of the temporary transfer being completed.

It is understood that Cahill favors a Premier League stay rather than a move abroad.

The England international earns around £110,000-a-week as it stands, but with a loan fee, the total cost for the six months would reportedly be around £4m.

Cahill has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge under new boss Maurizo Sarri. The 33-year-old has only featured in one Premier League match for the Blues this term and has just seven appearances under his belt in total across all competitions, watching on from the sidelines as the team looks for a swift return to Champions League football.
