Steven Gerrard believes Chelsea have conducted some strange activities in the transfer window.
Gerrard cannot understand Conte spending massive amounts on new players while getting rid of several promising youngsters.
Bertrand Traore, Nathan Ake and Nathaniel Chalobah have been sold on while the likes of Tammy Abraham, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Kurt Zouma will spend this season out on loan.
“You can’t have any sympathy with Chelsea, Gearrd said.
“They bring four players in, one of those is a goalkeeper, and they let seven or eight go.
“Nathaniel Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek, Ake – for me, all of those are good enough to be in Chelsea’s squad.
“Unless people above Conte are making decisions and selling players without his permission, that’s the only way I can see it.”
