Chelsea set to announce new signing on July 1st

According to reports, the blues have already made their first signing of the summer.

But they don’t plan to announce it until July 1.

Standard Sport are reporting that terms have been agreed with the player, however, the club have decided to wait on confirming the new one until the start of next month.

Chelsea are reported to be looking sign around six transfers during the window, with Romelu Lukaku and Tiemoue Bakayoko rumoured to be set to join the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Chelsea FC News outlets believe the most likely mystery signing at this stage is former Manchester City keeper Willy Caballero.

Negotiations with Caballero stepped up over the past week and it would be a surprise if he doesn’t move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea may decide to bring the announcement forward, but the plan at the present time is to announce the signing at the start of July.
